Personally, I prefer to use pyenvįor managing my python environments. There are alternative package managers for Python instead of Conda. I also believe it is better practice to make sure your environment is as ‘lean’ as possible, containing only the packages your project directly depends on. Given installing a library is only a ‘pip install’ away, it is easy to use Miniconda and only install libraries as and when you need them. Anaconda is very bloated and contains many libraries which you are unlikely to use, especially not in a single project. I would always recommend using Miniconda. Want fast access to Python and the conda commands and you wish to sort out the other programs later.Do not have time or disk space to install over 1,500 packages at once.Do not mind installing each of the packages you want to use individually.
